roebling and myself, almostblue) just want to say again that we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has written, read, and commented for this third round of TBB. Thank you for your time and effort and talent! It's been amazing to see so much great enthusiasm and energy!
While we wait for the last few stories to get posted, we're going to hold a Lightning Drabble Round!
Before I get into what that means, I want to introduce this year's honorary mods for the lightning round -i_luv_tvxq, (you may know her as @TVXQluff) and akmongs (@himchanni), who runs bapfanfiction. They are both wonderful people who keep the fandom running through recs, comments and kudos, quietly and without much fanfare. We think they're great, and we wanted to thank them for all of their hard work over the years.
So as this round progresses, feel free to ask them questions as well! Ifroebling and I aren't around (or aren't...awake, ahaha, timezones /o\) they are here to help you out :)
Our hope is that the Lightning Drabble Round will be a fast, fun, low pressure opportunity for everyone to keep writing a little bit more! Here's how it will work:
1) If you want to participate, comment on this entry with a pairing you'd like to write. Please keep it to one comment per pairing.
2) A mod (any mod!) will reply with 3-5 random one word prompts.
For example, you might comment with the pairing DaeJae. A mod will reply to your comments with the prompts: apple, blonde, sneakers, failure, nuna
3) You have until September 13th to write as many drabbles as you want based on those prompts! All the drabbles you write should be under 1,000 words. They can use any of the words, all of the words, whatever you want. Post your fics as replies to the mod comment, and title them like this:[prompt, pairing, rating, warnings] in the heading of the comment. There's no assigned posting times or deadlines, so you can post 'em as you write 'em!
You don't have to have participated in the exchange to take part in the lightening round! Anon commenting will be enabled so anon participants should also be able to take part. It's low stakes, so if you can only write one drabble based on your prompt, that's absolutely fine. 10 drabbles? Fine too! Real life gets in the way and you can't write at all? We get it.
If there are any questions we haven't answered just comment below and we'll try to answer them right away! Otherwise, that's it! Lightning Drabble Round starts now, and runs until 9/13! Hwaiting!!!

Date: 2014-09-11 08:21 am (UTC)When they had first been presented with the outfits they would be wearing for the second Baby Day, Daehyun had laughed himself silly at the pink skirts and cardigans and had congratulated himself on managing to get out of that one. Youngjae had bemoaned his fate and pleaded with Manager Kang to have a change of plans, or to make sure no cameras would enter the event whatsoever, or to at least please shut Daehyun up, because otherwise Youngjae would do it for him.
Junhong had merely looked like he wanted to hide in a hole somewhere, while Yongguk patted his shoulder and assured him it would be fine, though the upturned corners of his mouth and the twinkle in his eyes showed his infinite amusement and did nothing to calm the maknae's nerves. Jongup, on the other hand, hadn't seemed too bothered, while Himchan had only complained that he thought the clothes weren't flattering enough.
Later, when the four boys were getting ready to go on stage, Daehyun had tried to be a bit more discreet about his laughter, though to no great success. More embarrassed than annoyed now, Youngjae had rammed his wig on his head, refusing any help from the coordi noonas on fixing the hair and insisting that he preferred it this way. Junhong had stared forlornly, stuck with a headband he'd never be able to hide his face behind, but rejecting Jongup's offer to switch. It had been Himchan who had caused Daehyun's uncontrollable giggles, though, and he had teasingly referred to him as "ahjumma", to which the older had replied by smacking him over the head before marching off.
Daehyun's laughter had died in his throat when the skirt swirled around Himchan's legs, showing them off more than the vocalist deemed necessary.
He had stopped laughing completely later on, with the cardigan hanging off Himchan's shoulders and the skirt hiked up around his waist - the wig long gone - as Daehyun buried himself between those thighs somewhere in a dusty room backstage, ignoring the calls of his name from down the corridor and instead whispering Himchan's against his neck.

Date: 2014-09-12 10:58 am (UTC)Himchan had been far from amused when Daehyun had dragged him out of bed first thing in the morning, announcing that there was a huge sale at one of his favourite shops and he needed someone to join him. He had repeatedly asked why Daehyun couldn’t have just asked someone else, someone who didn’t need sleep as much as Himchan did.
Daehyun had replied that not even Himchan needed as much sleep as he thought he did and he had mercilessly pulled the covers off Himchan’s form, reminding him that Jongup was still asleep when the older had opened his mouth to yell at him.
Now here he was, outside, in the cold, waiting for a sale that was indeed huge considering they had been queuing for around two hours without an end in sight, while Jongup was still sleeping innocently.
Grumbling, he checked his phone, all the more annoyed because Daehyun had left him nearly half an hour ago, telling him he’d be right back and could Himchan please not lose their place? It was ever so tempting to just say ‘fuck it’ and return to the dorm, crawl in his warm bed and request a lock on his door.
Yet he was still here, not moving (literally: this queue was getting nowhere).
After what felt like hours, Daehyun finally reappeared, shoving an Americano in Himchan’s hands before he could complain (he still did) and explaining that he had somehow gotten lost while looking for a coffee shop. At Himchan’s withering glare, he presented him with a cupcake, and although Himchan wasn’t really in a cupcake mood, he accepted it anyway, if only because he was sure Daehyun had bought it for himself and looked like a kicked puppy when he was forced to hand it over.
In the end Himchan took pity on him and they shared the treat, most of it going to Daehyun anyway since the older was much more interested in his coffee.
“Why is it taking so long?” Himchan sighed, growing ever more impatient. At least he was no longer cold, since Daehyun was so close to him that their breaths mingled, and he couldn’t say he was bored either, for the vocalist had been chattering pretty much non-stop since his return, but he could think of better ways to spend his day.
“Oh, it’s not open yet,” Daehyun replied casually, licking crumbs from his fingers.
“…What?” Himchan glared at the other in disbelief. “You seriously dragged me out of bed this early for no apparent reason?”
Daehyun shrugged and looked at the ground, his cheeks tinged with pink. “The later you get here, the bigger the chance that all the good stuff is gone. And, well, I kind of wanted to spend time with you, I guess.”
Sighing, Himchan rubbed his eyes, debating whether this was cute or if he should be pissed off. “You could’ve just asked,” he mumbled.
Daehyun licked his lips nervously. “Yeah, well, you seemed to be enjoying yourself with Jongup, and I didn’t want to butt in.”
“You always butt in,” Himchan pointed out. “But I get it… I was sort of jealous of Junhong too.”
“I never said-”
“And I missed you too.”
Daehyun bit his lip to hide his smile and scooted a little closer. “Good.”
